Budapest Airport and Transportation
Getting to and around Budapest
From Budapest's international airport, take the minibus service located outside the arrivals terminal. The trip can take between 30 minutes to one hour, depending on how many stops it needs to make. You may then arrange to have one pick you up at your hotel for your return. Alternatively, you have the following options:
If you are arriving by train from within Europe, you'll arrive at Keleti Station in Pest. From there you can have a long walk down the avenue to the center or take the metro from beneath the station.
If you don't wish to rely on public transportation, choose the following private transfers from/to the railway station:
Most of the city's sights can be reached on foot, otherwise you may use the efficient metro. Since most of the public transport (including the metro) shuts down at around 11:30PM, your only choice late at night is a taxi.
