You'll probably arrive in Florence by train from elsewhere in Italy, ending at Santa Maria Novella Station. It's just a 10-minute walk from the Duomo.

If you are flying into the city, you'll land at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport, from where you can take the SITA bus to the center of the city. Alternatively, take an inexpensive taxi. Another option is to go for a pre-booked transfer:
