Miami Beach, South Beach, SoBe, or however you choose to call it, is a major gay getaway, with a number of gay-friendly establishments around its famous Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue. Everything is thankfully within walking distance, with the gay beach running parallel to Collins.
Perhaps the best part of coming here is taking a trip to Key West, arguably even gayer. It's the southernmost point in the U.S., with a strong gay community which is a major player in the annual Fantasy Fest every October (autumn and winter are actually great times for a visit, as temperatures are still warm). Walk down Duval Street, between Fleming Street and Duval Square, for a concentration of gay-friendly bars and restaurants.
